KREE ARVANITAS is the former owner of internationally renowned Gilded Lilies Henna Arts in Seattle Washington, since 1997 one of the most creative and innovative henna services in the United States.

She is an experienced graphic artist, photographer and writer.  Her passion for henna has taken her from dusty libraries to the medinas of Morocco, absorbing the history and language of this beautiful, traditional art.

She blends sensitive techniques of connection, tenderness and healing with superb artistry and a deep knowledge of many traditional motifs, symbolism and styles.  Her broad experience includes traditional weddings, cultural holidays, ceremonies, corporate parties, teaching and extensive work in the Oriental, American Tribal and Folk Dance communities.

Kree is also a founding member of HENNATRIBE.ORG, a non-profit organization with an online professional community devoted to the dispersal of accurate henna information; research & development; and linking globally through forums, projects and conferences.  

Now located in ATHENS, GREECE, Kree brings her expertise to HennaDervish and plans to expand her research endeavors in the Mediterranean and Near East.  She updates her teaching materials on a regular basis to reflect new trends, information and scholarship in the henna field.

She is available for appointments large and small, parties, personal ceremonies, lectures, photography, fashion and commercial art projects.
